Here are some simple things that you can do to do to help us keep our patients and staff as safe as possible, and prevent the spread of viruses.

For patients and the public coming into The Rotunda:

1. Be informed by reliable sources – Check the HSE and HPSC websites for up to date information. These FAQs from HPSC are very helpful!

2. Wash your hands properly! Proper hand hygiene is essential to stopping the spread of bugs like COVID19 and the Flu.
Here’s the HSE’s guide to how to wash your hands properly – https://www2.hse.ie/wellbeing/how-to-wash-your-hands.html

3. If you have flu-like or respiratory symptoms, and you have a scheduled appointment, contact our appointment scheduling team on 01 873 0596 or 01 873 0632 and we can arrange to reschedule, if appropriate.

4. If you need to come in to the Rotunda, and have flu-like symptoms, please let us know in advance or as soon as you arrive so that we can take the necessary precautions to keep you and others safe. This would include scheduled appointments, or coming to the Emergency and Assessment Unit.

5. If you have flu-like symptoms, AND have been in an area of presumed community transmission affected area (Affected Areas Here) OR have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; please contact Public Health on 01 6352145 8am-8pm and Out of Hours NAS 0818-501999.

6. If you’re unsure, call on us 01 817 1700.
