On Your Arrival in the Emergency Unit
When you arrive, the staff at the main reception desk will check some information with you and inform a midwife in the EAU that you have arrived. The midwife will try to see you as soon as possible. They will discuss your symptoms or any concerns you may have, review your medical records, and carry out an examination to assess how urgently you need care. This process is known as a triage consultation.
Based on this assessment, the midwife will decide whether you need to see a doctor and will inform you of the expected waiting time.
Patients are seen as quickly as possible, according to medical priority. If your symptoms change while you are waiting, please inform the midwife immediately.
