She manages the project "Debunking the Myths - The Science Behind Our Sexual Health", a sexual health education programme for TY-Students funded by Science Foundation Ireland and The Rotunda Foundation.
Her role includes project planning, team and activities coordination, budget management and stakeholder engagement as well as content design and creation (infographics, videos, booklets, posters), Social Media and webpage content management with the aim of promoting research and outreach initiatives.
She completed her BSc in Biotechnology from University of Genoa (Italy) in 2015 and a MSc in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies in 2017.
Elisa developed a deep interest in Science Communication thanks to the Genoa Science Festival, where she worked for three editions as scientific mediator. Following this experience, she worked with different Italian associations as scientific mediator (Umberto Veronesi Foundation, Italian Institute of Technology). She took part in the summer school in Science Communication from University of Camerino (Italy) where she gained knowledge of the most appropriate media for each, different audience when communicating science. She then moved to Ireland and pursued a second MSc in Science and Health Communications from Dublin City University (2020).
