Bags of unwashed spinach have been recalled by the Food Safety Authority from leading supermarkets amid a warning over Listeria. The packets were on sale in Dunnes, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Supervalu and were also supplied to a number of catering firms. Listeria can be dangerous for pregnant women – so if you have any of the batches mentioned in this article, you should throw them out.
