This week was Employee Wellness Week at The Rotunda. As the most active Maternity Hospital in Europe, it’s important that we provide ourselves the healthiest and most nutritious fuel for our day, so we can provide the best possible care for the mothers and babies that cross our threshold.

We had Joyce Timmons, our own executive chef, join us on Tuesday. Joyce demonstrated how to make Energy Balls – small, round, low calorie Super Heroes, full of whole foods that slowly release energy over a busy day.

On Wednesday, Sarah Kiely, founder of Sadies Kitchen, shared the journey of her business and gave out samples of her natural bone broths, made from free range Irish chicken & organic apple cider vinegar.

And on Thursday, Oliver McCabe showed us why breakfast matters and shared his top all day healthy easy breakfasts and health tips to keep our staff focused and fueled all day long.

You can see recipes for Joyces’ Energy Balls and Oliver’s muesli, granola and green smoothies below.
